Worship and Music at St. John’s Lutheran Church

Worship is at the heart of our congregational life. Worship is the opportunity to be shaped by Word and Sacrament and to be caught up in praising God for all the goodness which comes our way.

Music is a special gift which enriches worship. We try to encourage this gift in our midst. If you would like to share your God-given gifts, we offer various choirs and groups you might want to join.

Please contact us for more information on how you can use your musical gift in worship with us.

Seasons of the Church

The Church Year shapes our worship and educational program. It leads us to remember the life and ministry of Jesus. Throughout the church year there are specific liturgical colors for use for vestments and hangings within the context of the Christian liturgy. Although at St. John’s we do not use hangings on the altar, pulpit, etc. the liturgical colors are still utilized through the vestments of the pastor.
