How We Help

St. John’s Lutheran, Little Suamico, has partnered with EPH since 2024. We have adopted one side of a duplex used to provide housing for a family with children experiencing homelessness and volunteers from St. John’s Lutheran help get the home ready for a new family to move in each time it becomes vacant by cleaning, decorating, and stocking it with supplies. We also help with lawn care and snow removal. Our home is known as St. Thomas. Members of St. John’s Lutheran, Little Suamico, volunteer to serve on the EPH Board of Directors and as part of the EPH Unit Coordinator Team. We also support EPH by participating in the annual direct mail campaign to raise funds for the organization, participate in EPH activities, and prayerfully keep the organization and our families in mind.

About EPH

  • EPH has been serving families facing homelessness for over 30 years
  • EPH was founded in 1992 when four churches decided to work together and utilize a home owned by Union Congregational UCC to provide housing for one family.
  • Today, EPH works in partnership with more than 20 area churches and has the capacity to provide housing for up to 37 families at a time.
  • The EPH eviction prevention program works to help families in the community at risk of losing their housing due to temporary financial constraints remain in their home and avoid experiencing homelessness with their children.
  • EPH has three programs: Transitional Housing, Long-Term Supportive Housing, and Eviction Prevention.
  • Case management is an essential component of all three programs. EPH case management focuses on family well-being, financial stability, employment, education, housing stability, and home care.
  • EPH has 21 homes in our transitional housing program and 16 homes in our long-term supportive housing program.
