Faith Formation
Rooted in Scripture, growing in spirit
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly, teaching and encouraging one another with all wisdom.”
Colossians 3:16
We believe, as Christ taught us, faith grows best when nurtured in a community—through questions, conversation and connection. From our youngest learners to lifelong disciples, we offer opportunities to explore God’s word and apply it to everyday life.
Baptism
For all ages
Baptism marks the beginning of our journey in faith—a gift from God, not earned but freely given. Whether as a child or an adult, Baptism is a celebration of belonging: to Christ, to community, and to the promises of grace, forgiveness and the Holy Spirit.
At St. John’s, we welcome individuals of all ages to be baptized. If you’re considering Baptism for yourself or your child, we would be honored to walk alongside you in this sacred step. Reach out to Pastor Stacy at (920) 826-7785 to begin the conversation or use the forms found on the Resources page.

Faith Finders (a.k.a. Sunday School)
Sundays, 10:15 – 11:00 a.m. (September through May)
For ages 3 through grade 5
Each week, our Faith Finders students dig into Bible stories through fun and interactive videos, art, conversation and creative activities. We strive to help all children make real connections between Scripture and everyday life.
- PreK–2nd grade: We use the Holy Moly! curriculum by Sparkhouse, capturing the imagination of kids by bringing the Bible to life. Each week PreK-2nd graders join together to watch an engaging video about a Bible story, then return to their classrooms for age-appropriate activities and great conversation about the story.
- 3rd–5th grade: Our Connect curriculum brings Scripture to life with humor, bold visuals, and interactive lessons just for tweens—designed to help them see the big picture of the Bible. The curriculum was created to CONNECT what children have learned in earlier Sunday School years to upcoming Club 9 (confirmation) participation.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
For 4K through grade 6
Each summer, St. John’s comes alive with laughter, music, games and faith-filled fun during Vacation Bible School! Designed for children 4K through grade 6, VBS is a week of high-energy learning where kids explore Bible stories through crafts, songs, skits and storytelling—all centered on God’s love.
Whether your child is a regular churchgoer or just looking for a joyful summer experience, VBS is a great way to make new friends and grow in faith. VBS is open to ALL children in the community at no cost to families. Dates and registration info are shared in the spring via our newsletter, Facebook page and the Events page.

First Communion
For ages 8 and above
See Church Calendar
At St. John’s, we recognize that Christ welcomes all people to the Communion Table, the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. We also recognize the importance of Communion for the forgiveness of sins, for our growth in faith and our joining in the Communion of the Saints together.
With that in mind, we offer interactive first communion classes to children in First Grade and beyond, in discussion with Pastor Stacy, to help them learn about God’s incredible love for them made real in the gift of Communion. The young at heart are also invited for a refresher class.
For details, check the church newsletter or call (920) 826-7785 to speak with Pastor Stacy.
Club 9 (a.k.a. Confirmation)
For grades 6-9
Our Confirmation program begins each fall with a family orientation and meets weekly on Wednesday evenings. Pastor Stacy leads students using the Collaborate curriculum, which is a creative, discussion-based approach that connects faith with everyday life, along with some other activities to engage students.
The program encourages both students and families to grow in faith together in a supportive and engaging environment.

Adult Bible Study
Thursdays at 11:30 a.m.
Join us each week for Brown Bag Bible Study with Pastor Stacy – bring a lunch and your Bible! Each week, we explore different themes and scriptures in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Whether you’re new to Bible study or a seasoned participant, everyone has something to offer and something to learn from one another.
Our current topic: The Letters of Paul
While we do our best to meet consistently each Thursday, please check our church calendar for any updates to the scheduled date or time.
